Student’s life is a miraculous thing. It
is like solving and combining different phases of life altogether from Pre-School
to class 12th and then college life and choosing best job
opportunities. You need to have a best plan for your career, where are your
decisions leading you and that you are making the right decision to be
successful.
Well, obviously not every decision taken
by student can be correct and everyone needs help from closest people around
them. Well, who else can be closer to you than your parents? Parents are the
source of energy of every child, they are at your back when you have nothing
and they also stand with you when you face any problem in life. They sacrifice
their whole life towards just one motto that is “to make you successful” and
support your best decisions. Times have changed and children do not want to be
governed by their parents anymore. They want to be independent. They want to
make their own decisions. Children now a days think that even if they fall from
their decision that fall will be theirs and they won’t have anyone to blame.
But obviously, parents think a bit different and the role of parents is at peak
when students have to choose their career after 12th.
12th standard is a very crucial time in
every student’s life. They really grow from a 12th standard; basically, they
enter from teenage to the real world where they have to take every step very carefully
to achieve their aim. They need to be independent after this. So do you think
taking decisions after 12th is going to be easy for students alone? Well,
certainly not. You have to think a lot before doing that. Student might have
something which he like and want to make as a career but parents might have
some different plans for their children.
So is it okay for parents to choose our
career after 12th? Well, this decision completely depends on an individual. Parents never thing wrong for their children
but at this stage both parents and children have to very understanding to each
other. Parents need to understand their children strength and listen them about
their interest and also make them aware of different career options after 12th
.
If Student is comfortable and good with
Maths, Physics; B.Tech can be the best option
and if Student is feeling comfortable in Biology or Chemistry; then
there are many Medical options. There
can me many other streams like BusinessAdministration, Hotel Management, Arts etc which all depend on students
interest and subjects in which a student feel comfortable. Parents should
understand children’s needs too and should support them with whatever good they
are doing. Obviously, a little bit of trust is only what their children ask
for. But this doesn’t mean that they should support their wrong decisions too.
It should be mutual and I think that
today’s parents as well their children’s have grown up enough to have a matured
talk and talk about their dreams and aspirations, and parents needs to listen them
too. So parents choosing your child’s career after 12th aren’t so bad unless
you already have an idea in your mind about what you want for your child. Career consultants can also play a good role if
parents feel confused with good career for their children.
